Group lessons are fun! It's a great way to share some fun time on the water with friends, learn a new skill, and do some fun tricks! 3-6 people; larger groups require additional water safety and instructors.
Have a bachelorette/bachelor party? How about a group of friends looking for a new experience? Corporate team building to work towards a common goal? Our group paddle lessons are an all-around fun experience that gets you outside having fun and playing games on the water.
After learning the basic SUP skills on the rental boards, we like to see people quickly advance to boards that are more efficient in the water, which means they can go further, faster with less effort, and have WAY more fun!
SUP Race boards aren't just for racers, they're designed to move through the water more efficiently than rental boards.
Most rental boards are designed for stability, but they're slow, and take great effort to move though the water with plaining style that pushes water versus race style boards that are designed to cut through the water. The typical rental boards top speeds are about 3 miles per hour versus most race boards that have the capability of going 10 plus miles an hour.
We have multiple sizes and styles for many abilities, body types, and styles of paddling.
SUP on a race board can be a great & fun way to cross train for other paddle sports too!
It does take some additional learning to gain balance on a race board but it's worth the splash downs and unexpected swims!
A super fun way to get on the water, meet new people, and enjoy the water with a wonderful community of paddlers. We lead them in multiple locations and days of the week.
All meet-ups are subject to cancellation for inclement weather or if there are not enough attendees.
Clinics 1 & 2 - Fundamentals and Water Safety - this is a great clinic for people newer to the water and those looking to learn more about the dos and don'ts on the water, our responsibilities, the rules of the waterways (boating rules, Coast Guard Rules, State / Federal Rules, General Guidelines, etc), and how to be a great Paddle Ambassador!
We focus more on people newer to paddle sports for clinics. We cover topics like the proper use of a VHF radio, flip rescue techniques, multiple self rescue techniques, our responsibilities on the water (ie if someone is in distress it's our duty to help in whatever capacity we're able), a rudimentary understanding of the effects of wind & tides, when to go and when to not go, Federal & California boating rules, who has the right of way, and more!
